JTEC Fishing Family Assistance
New England Maritime has been working with JTEC and several Fishing
Family Assistance Programs in the Massachusetts area for more than
10 years. This program helps displaced fishermen retrain and gain
employment. The program includes:
- Captains license training
- All books
- USCG Physical fee
- USCG Drug test fee
- USCG License fees
- Navigation plotting tools
- CPR/First Aid training
- Towing Assistance Endorsement course
- Auxiliary Sail Endorsement course (if eligible)
- FCC Element One exam (if needed)
And also, (if student desires a wider market for employment)
- Able Seaman study course
- Basic and Advanced Fire Fighting
- STCW Basic Safety Course
