USCG-approved CPR/First Aid/AED course

This Coast Guard-approved course covers adult CPR and basic first aid practices, as well as AED use, and meets the requirements for an original application for a Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential. New England Maritime can also provide a specific Bloodborne Pathogens course on request for an additional fee.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)
Assessment and chest compressions
Rescue breathing and using a CPR mask
Automated Extermanl Defibrillation & using an AED
Additional CPR AED considerations
Suspected opioid-associated emergency
Relief of choking
First aid assessment
Severe, life threatening external bleeding
Minor wounds, tooth injuries, bleeding from the nose
Impaled objects (including eye injuries)
Internal bleeding
Using maleable splints
Altered mental status
Difficulty breathing
Severe allergic reaction
Heart attack
Heat emergencies
Cold emergencies
Additional information: Certificates are valid for 2 years and approved by the U.S. Coast Guard for the purposes of an application for a Merchant Mariner Credential.
